US WHEAT EXPORT SALES
According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Feb. 05-11, 2021 about wheat net sales of 399,100 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were down 33% from the previous week and 18% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Nigeria (138,000MT), China (131,700 MT), SouthKorea (85,500MT), Japan (61,300MT), and Algeria (40,000MT, switched from unknown destinations), were offset by reductions primarily for the UnitedArabEmirates (40,000MT) and unknown destinations (35,000MT). For 21/22, net sales of 214,400MT were primarily for the Philippines (70,000MT), the United Arab Emirates (40,000MT), Mexico (33,000MT), and Nigeria (30,000MT). Exports of 379,700MT were down 14% from the previous week and 11% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Japan (127,500MT), Mexico (105,000MT), China (66,700MT), South Korea (30,300MT), and Venezuela (16,500 MT).
