US WHEAT EXPORT SALES
According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Jan.29-Feb.04, 2021 about wheat net sales of 591,000 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were down 8% from the previous week, but up 50% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for unknown destinations (167,000MT), Mexico (108,800MT, including decreases of 2,300MT), the Philippines (99,200MT, including decreases of 700MT), Taiwan (89,200MT), and Japan (57,000MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Nigeria (17,000MT), Guatemala (9,900MT), and Thailand (4,600MT). For 21/22, net sales of 44,400MT were primarily for the Philippines (25,000MT) and Guatemala (9,900MT). Exports of 438,900 MT were down 12% from the previous week, but up 8% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (115,700MT), Mexico (92,100MT), Taiwan (80,200MT), Thailand (58,700MT), and Colombia (34,000MT).
