According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Dec.11-17, 2020 about wheat net sales of 393,700 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were down 27% from the previous week and 34% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Nigeria (102,000MT), Mexico (70,200MT, including decreases of 200MT), Indonesia (60,000MT), southkorea (57,000MT, including 55,000MT switched from unknown destinations), and Japan (52,900MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (17,300MT). For 21/22, total net sales of 24,000MT were for Peru. Exports of 366,300MT were up 54% from the previous week, but down 8% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (80,700MT), China (63,000 MT, including 31,500MT late), South Korea (57,000MT), Taiwan (49,100MT), and Japan (30,300MT).
