HAMBURG – August 17, 2021

This morning, the Germany’s association of farm cooperatives has revisited its estimates of the country’s 2021 wheat and rapeseed crops.
German wheat, indeed, has escaped the crop damage seen in others European countries, and overall wheat harvest quality is reasonable to good.
Consequentially, Germany’s 2021 wheat crop is expected to increase by 1.3% on the year to 22.39 million tonnes.
In its previous harvest forecast in July, the association had forecast a wheat crop of 22.80 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, the association forecast Germany’s 2021 winter rapeseed crop will fall 0.2% from last summer’s crop to 3.51 million tonnes.
In July, the association had forecast a winter rapeseed crop of 3.68 million tonnes.
