Washington March 18, 2021 US WHEAT EXPORT SALES

According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period March 05-11, 2021 about wheat, net sales of 390,100 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were up 18% from the previous week and 40% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for China (132,300MT, including 130,000MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (93,000MT, including decreases of 1,000MT), Taiwan (85,000MT), the Philippines (75,400MT), and Thailand (54,000MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (215,800MT). For 21/22, net sales of 139,000MT were reported for China (65,000MT), the Philippines (32,000MT), unknown destinations (28,800MT), Honduras (7,000MT) and the DominicanRepublic (6,200MT). Exports of 662,300MT were up 41% from the previous week and 61% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (178,000MT), SouthKorea (100,100MT), Mexico (80,600MT), China (67,300MT), and Bangladesh (58,400MT).
