EXPORT PRICES OF RUSSIAN WHEAT CONTINUES TO FALL WITH WEAKENING OF DEMAND AND GOOD WEATHER

Russian wheat export prices fell last week, extending their fall to a fifth consecutive week, due to weak demand.

According to IKAR, an agriculture consultancy, Russian wheat with 12.5% protein loading from Black Sea ports for supply in April, indeed, was at $245 a tonne free on board (FOB) at the end of last week, down $12 from the previous week.

According to Sovecon, another consultancy, wheat and barley prices fell by $5 to $248 a tonne and $235 a tonne, respectively.

The weather condition remains favourable for the upcoming 2021 wheat crop with rains expected in several regions this week.
