US WHEAT EXPORT SALES
According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Feb. 19-25, 2021 about wheat net sales of 219,200 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were up 31% from the previous week, but down 51% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (69,300MT, including decreases of 1,400MT), China (65,900MT, including 65,000MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 100MT), Nigeria (56,000MT, including decreases of 1,000MT), Canada (31,600MT), and Japan (30,600MT, including decreases of 200MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (55,000MT) and Chile (8,000 MT). For 21/22, total net sales of 23,500MT were for Haiti. Exports of 407,500MT were up 4% from the previous week, but down 5% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (147,800MT), Indonesia (74,500MT), Thailand (57,900MT), Honduras (36,800MT), and Nigeria (29,000MT).
