According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, wheat weekly export sales, for the period February 25-March 3, 2022 and delivery in 2021/22 season, were at 307,200 metric tons (MT).
That was up 2% from the previous week and 21% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for the Philippines (133,100MT), Mexico (111,700MT, including decreases of 26,300 MT), Japan (26,200MT), Colombia (17,400MT) and the DominicanRepublic (13,100MT, including decreases of 100MT), were offset by reductions for ElSalvador (1,400MT), SouthKorea (1,000MT) and Taiwan (100MT).
Net sales of 63,000MT for 2022/23 were reported for the Philippines (50,000MT) and Mexico (13,000MT).
Exports of 384,500 MT were up 5% from the previous week, but down 10% from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to Mexico (88,200MT), Japan (66,600MT), the Philippines (65,100MT), Thailand (58,500MT) and Guatemala (52,100MT).
As for corn, net sales of 2,143,700 MT for 2021/22–a marketing-year high–were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for unknown destinations (800,600MT), Japan (398,400MT, including 37,500MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 21,000MT), Mexico (290,200MT, including decreases of 40,600MT), SaudiArabia (140,000MT, including 140,000MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases 2,600MT) and Colombia (129,600MT, including 50,000MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 125,300MT), were offset by reductions for El Salvador (22,500MT) and CostaRica (2,900MT).
Total net sales of 22,900 MT for 2022/23 were for Mexico.
Exports of 1,763,300 MT were up 14% from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to China (555,100MT), Mexico (371,700MT), Colombia (258,400MT), Japan (205,100MT) and Saudi Arabia (140,000MT).
As for soybeans, net sales of 2,204,300 MT for 2021/22 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 76% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for China (1,096,400MT, including 66,000MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500MT), unknown destinations (334,000MT), Egypt (181,000MT, including 55,000MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,700MT), Mexico (142,700MT, including decreases of 80,000MT), and Vietnam (114,700MT, including decreases 100MT).
Net sales of 895,000MT for 2022/23 were reported for China (797,000MT), unknown destinations (66,000MT) and Mexico (32,000MT).
Exports of 834,900MT were up 11% from the previous week, but down 26% from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to China (304,600MT), Egypt (173,000MT), Mexico (75,800MT), Indonesia (73,200MT) and Japan (68,000MT).
