According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period February 18-24, 2022, wheat net sales were 300,000 metric tons (MT) for 2021/22 season.
That was down 42% from the previous week, but up 54% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for Mexico (90,100MT, including decreases of 21,500MT), Japan (66,900MT), Taiwan (56,300MT), Colombia (40,100MT, including 38,000MT switched from unkn. destin.) and the Philippines (36,700MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unkn. destin. (35,500MT) and ElSalvador (15,200MT).
Net sales of 69,800 MT for 2022/23 were reported for Mexico (38,000MT), the Philippines (24,000MT), Trinidad (5,800MT) and Honduras (2,000MT).
Exports of 364,800 MT were down 33% from the previous week and 15% from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to Mexico (82,600MT), the Philippines (67,700MT), Nigeria (52,600MT), Colombia (40,100MT), and Taiwan (38,500MT).
As for corn, net sales of 485,100 MT for 2021/22 were down 53% from the previous week and 47% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for Japan (320,400MT, including 267,700MT switched from unkn. destin. and decreases of 21,000MT), Mexico (180,200MT, including decreases of 32,000MT), Colombia (125,400MT, including 121,300 MT switched from unkn. destin. and decreases of 80,300MT), the DominicanRepublic (48,400MT, including decreases of 9,600MT) and Canada (34,000MT, including decreases of 500MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (274,600MT).
Net sales of 222,800 MT for 2022/23 were reported for Japan (192,900MT, including 167,000MT – late), Honduras (19,900MT) and Canada (10,000 MT).
Exports of 1,550,800 MT were down 18% from the previous week, but up 7% from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to Japan (456,700MT), China (344,500MT), Mexico (330,000MT), Colombia (121,500MT) and Canada (110,500MT).
As for soybeans, net sales of 857,000 MT for 2021/22 were down 31% from the previous week and 34% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for unkn. destin. (345,900MT), Egypt (178,000MT), #Italy (92,000MT), Taiwan (69,400MT, including decreases of 100MT) and Mexico (63,000MT, including decreases of 13,000MT), were offset by reductions for China (15,000MT) and CostaRica (1,400MT).
Net sales of 1,386,000 MT for 2022/23 were reported for China (1,260,000 MT, including 132,000 MT – late) and unkn. destin. (126,000MT).
Exports of 751,000 MT were down 40% from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to China (410,700MT), Japan (126,400MT), Mexico (81,400MT), Colombia (35,400MT) and Taiwan (32,100MT).
