US WHEAT EXPORT SALES
According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Dec25-31, 2020 about wheat net sales of 275,300 metric tons(MT) for 20/21 were down 47% from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Taiwan (82,300MT), China (55,400 MT), Mexico (33,700MT, including decreases of 26,800MT), the Philippines (33,300 MT), and Nigeria (33,000MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Italy (10,000MT) and Vietnam (4,000MT). For 20/21, total net sales of 6,000MT were for the Philippines. Exports of 418,700MT were down 4% from the previous week, but up 5% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines(127,300MT), Mexico(91,800MT), China(68,000MT), Japan (60,800MT),and Nigeria(47,500MT).
