US WHEAT EXPORT SALES
According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period Dec.18-24, 2020 about wheat net sales of 520,600 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were up 32% from the previous week and 4% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for China (133,200MT), the Philippines (80,900MT), Vietnam (77,500MT), Indonesia (57,000MT, including 49,000MT switched from unknown destinations), and Bangladesh (50,800MT, including 50,000MT switched from unknown destinations), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (23,000MT). Exports of 434,800MT were up 19% from the previous week and 8% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (104,900MT), southkorea (82,700MT), Mexico (76,300MT), China (68,200MT), and Bangladesh (50,800MT).
