According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period April 09-15, 2021 about wheat, net sales of 240,200 metric tons (MT) for 20/21 were down noticeably from the previous week, but up 55% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (137,500MT, including decreases of 800MT), Taiwan (46,300MT, including decreases of 400MT), Japan (30,300MT), Italy (11,500MT, including decreases of 8,000MT), and the Philippines (11,000MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Vietnam (9,500MT), ElSalvador (7,000MT), and Guatemala (3,500MT). For 21/22, net sales of 373,800MT were primarily for Japan (67,500MT), unknown destinations (65,500MT), China (65,000MT), Mexico (60,200MT), and Taiwan (51,000MT). Exports of 561,000MT were up 20% from the previous week and 11% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (131,000MT), Thailand (108,800MT), China (66,000MT), SouthKorea (65,100MT), and Mexico (57,300MT).
