According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period April 09-15, 2021 about corn , net sales of 387,500MT for 20/21 were up 18% from the previous week, but down 75% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (366,300MT, including 36,000MT switch. from unkn. destin. and decreas. of 1,400MT ), SouthKorea (134,600MT, includ. 68,000MT switch. from China, 65,000MT switch. from unkn. destin., and decreases of 6,100MT), #Japan (103,500MT, includ. 175,700MT switch. from unkn. destin. and decreas. of 74,800MT), Colombia (80,600, includ. 20,500MT switch. from Panama and decreases of 53,600MT), and Taiwan (72,800MT, includ. 70,000MT switch. from China and decreas. of 700MT), were offset by reductions for unkn. destin. (215,800MT) and China (123,900MT). For 21/22, net sales of 29,500MT were for Mexico (11,200 MT), ElSalvador (7,500MT), Nicaragua (7,500MT), and Guatemala (3,300MT). Exports of 1,605,700MT were down 12% from the previous week and 18% from the prior 4-week average. The destin. were primarily to China (560,100MT), Mexico (321,100MT), South Korea (265,000MT – including 69,200MT – late), Japan (244,800MT), and Taiwan (83,900MT).
