According to the US Department of Agriculture, for the period April 02-08, 2021 about corn sales of 327,700 MT for 20/21 were down 57% from the previous week and 81% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Japan (178,000MT, including 76,800MT switch. from unkn. destin. and decreases of 1,800MT ), Mexico (138,900MT, including 34,000MT switch. from unkn. destin. and decreases of 14,500MT), SouthKorea (125,900MT, including 66,000MT switch. from unkn. destin. and decreases of 9,100MT), Taiwan (111,500MT, including 69,000MT switch. from unkn. destin., 27,200 MT switched from China, and decreases of 500MT), and Israel (55,200MT, including 55,000MT switch. from unkn. destin.), were offset by reductions primarily for unkn. destin. (379,900MT). For 21/22, net sales of 52,600MT were reported for Guatemala (25,700MT), ElSalvador (24,400MT), and Canada (2,500MT). Exports of 1,816,300MT were down 12% from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (520,300MT), Mexico (450,100MT, including 34,100MT – late), Japan (230,800MT), South Korea (191,400MT), and Taiwan (123,800 MT).
