According to Reuters, russian wheat export prices have risen since late 2020 ahead of an upcoming wheat export tax.
As we know, Russia aims to stabilise food prices with a grain export quota and a wheat export tax from Feb. 15 to June 30.
So, wheat with 12.5% protein loading from Black Sea ports for supply before mid-February was at $275 a tonne on a free-on-board (FOB) basis at the end of last week, up $13 from the end of 2020.
According too to Refinitiv quoted wheat prices at $275 per tonne, but up $18 from late 2020.
Export prices for sunflower oil stood at $1,260 per tonne at the end of last week, up $88 from late 2020.
We must note, Russia was on official holiday from Jan. 1-10.
