According to the farm office FranceAgriMer crop conditions for French softwheat were stable in the week to June 28.
In fact, an estimated 79% of French soft #wheat was in good or excellent condition, unchanged from the previous week and still well above a year-earlier score of 56%.
For now, durumwheat harvest, is under way with 1% of the crop area cut, that compares with 16% a year ago.
Meantime, farmers made little progress in winter barley harvesting as wet weather.
The winter barley harvest was 2% complete, compared with 1% the previous week and well behind 36% a year earlier.
The good/excellent score for winter barley crops declined slightly to 74% from 75% the previous week.
The good-to-excellent rating for spring barley edged down to 83% from 84% while the grain corn score was unchanged at 89%.
In France, its widely expected to see reap bigger grain crops this year as consequence of favourable weather.
