According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, as of April 23 the spring planted areas were:
Wheat 456.6k ha or 3.6% of expectations (1mln ha YoY);
Barley-1.2 mln ha or 15.6% (2.6 mln ha YoY);
Corn-81.4k ha or 2.9% (869.7k YoY);
Sunflower-242.9k ha or 2.9%(1.5 mln ha YoY).
