BAGE see Argentine 21/22 corn harvest heading to reach 52 million tonnes, up about 6% from last week’s forecast; corn plantings to fall 3% in 22/23.
EU wheat exports had reached 3.58 mmt by Aug. 14, corn imports 3.59 mmt.
IGC sees world corn production at 1.1 bln mt, down 41 million y-o-y; global wheat output was up 8 MMT to 778.
Ukraine ‘s 2022 wheat harvest is 91% complete; barley, peas and rapeseed were 98% complete so far; exports by sea rise, the total number of vessels to leave Ukraine’s Black Sea ports to 25.
SovEcon raised its wheat estimate to 94.7 Mt up from 90.9Mt.
Russian Ag Min reported that, as of 15 August, 67.8Mt wheat had been harvested.
China warned, a severe dry spell along the Yangtze could last well into Sep.
Chinese Customs data had July corn imports at 1.54 MMT, while total imports at 15.13 MMT; wheat imports at 0,78 MMT, bring cumulative totals to 5.7 MMT.
Chinese Sinograin and COFCO have set up a joint venture.
India raised the country’s wheat production number by 0.43 MMT to 106.84 MMT
Malaysian palm oil posted a 7.12% weekly loss.
Oil prices heading for around 3.6% weekly losses.
The dollar index rallied to a 1-month high.
