Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC suspended negotiations in its international tender to buy millingwheat.
Talks will resume tomorrow morning.
Algeria is soughting to bougth a nominal 50,000 tonnes of wheat, however, often buys considerably more in its tenders than the nominal volume sought.
Its believe that the tender, issued on Saturday, with deadline on this morning, was too short to get enough participation also from Russian and Argentine exporters.In add, this time was also too short to get the freight cost (ocean shipping).
Consequetly, no purchase has yet been reported.
