WASHINGTON – April, 28, 2022

Per latest data from the US Department of Agriculture, wheat export sales for the period April 15-21 and delivery in 2021/22 MY were at 32,300 metric tons (MT).

That was up 23% from the previous week, but down 65% from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Mexico (42,400MT, incl. decreases of 2,200MT), Taiwan (33,000MT), the Dominican Republic (23,400MT, including 22,200MT switc. from Guatemala and decr. of 200MT), Costa Rica (14,700MT, incl. 15,000MT switc. from Colombia and decr. of 400MT) and Chile (7,000MT), were offset by reduc. for Nigeria (37,500MT), unk. dest. (31,900MT), Guatemala (22,200MT), Colombia (12,900MT) and Italy (400 MT).

Net sales of 124,300 MT for 2022/23 primarily for the Philippines (60,000MT), Japan (33,700MT), Chile (23,000MT), Italy (20,000MT), and unk. dest. (14,500MT), were offset by reduc. for Nigeria (41,000MT).

Exports of 246,000 MT were down 51% from the previous week and 35% from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to Italy (54,600MT), the Philippines (44,600MT), Mexico (38,600MT), Japan (30,900MT) and Colombia (27,300MT).

 As for corn , net sales of 866,800 MT for 2021/22 were down 1% from the previous week and 5% from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for China (729,200MT, incl. decreases of 5,800MT), Mexico (144,900MT, incl. 52,000MT switched from unk. dest. and decr. of 59,300MT), SouthKorea (125,100MT, including 66,000MT switc. from unk. dest. and decreases of 6,000MT), Spain (55,000MT, incl. 50,000MT switc. from unk. dest.) and Japan (53,100MT, incl. 205,000MT switc. from unk. dest. and decr. of 92,200MT), were offset by reduc. primarily for unk. dest. (376,700MT).

Net sales of 843,400 MT for 2022/23 were reported for China (612,000MT), Mexico (190,800MT) and Japan (40,600 MT).

Exports of 1,562,100 MT were up 31% from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to Japan (385,600MT), Mexico (337,800MT), China (266,200MT), Colombia (73,900MT) and South Korea (60,100MT).

As for soybeans, net sales of 481,300 MT for 2021/22 were up 5% from the previous week, but down 37% from the prior 4-week average.

Increases were primarily for China (165,100MT, including 121,000MT switc. from unk. dest. and decr. of 33,300MT), Mexico (88,100MT, incl. decr. of 3,000MT), Bangladesh (56,100MT, incl. 55,000MT switc. from unk. dest.), Japan (48,100MT, incl. 3,600MT switc. from unk. dest. and decreases of 500MT) and Taiwan (33,900MT, incl. 20,000MT swit. from unk. dest. and decr. of 100MT).

Net sales of 580,000 MT for 2022/23 were reported for China (468,000MT) and Mexico (112,000MT).

Exports of 710,900 MT were down 20% from the previous week and 10% from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to China (279,900MT), Egypt (158,800MT), Mexico (81,400MT), Bangladesh (56,100MT) and Taiwan (40,300 MT).
