WASHINGTON – May 26, 2022

Per latest data from the US Department of Agriculture, wheat export sales for the period May 13-19, 2022 and delivery in 2021/22 season saw a net reductions of 2,300 metric tons (MT).

That was a marketing-year low.

That was down noticeably from the prev. week and from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Italy (20,000MT), Nigeria (8,200MT), the Philippines (5,500MT), Canada (2,900MT) and Japan (1,700MT, including decr. of 1,100MT), were more than offset by reductions for Mexico (38,200MT) and unk. dest. (2,700MT).

Net sales of 246,300 MT for 2022/23 primarily for the Philippines (60,000MT), Japan (59,600MT), Taiwan (40,000MT), Mexico (36,800MT) and Honduras (32,000MT), were offset by reductions for unk. dest. (1,000MT) and Nigeria (1,000MT).

Exports of 298,200 MT were down 14% from the previous week and 1% from the prior 4-week average.

The destin. were primarily to Japan (110,000MT), Mexico (84,700MT), the Philippines (60,500MT), Nigeria (41,800MT) and Canada (800MT).

As for corn, net sales of 151,600 MT for 2021/22- a MYL -were down 63% from the prev. week and 73% from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Japan (112,900MT, including 148,100MT switched from unk. dest. and decreases of 39,600MT), Colombia (55,900MT, including 53,000MT switc. from unk. dest. and decr. of 2,300MT), Venezuela (20,600MT, including decreases of 1,100MT), Canada (20,100MT, includ. decreases of 2,500MT) and Mexico (17,200MT, incl. decreases of 11,700MT), were offset by reduc. primarily for South Korea (57,000MT), unk. dest. (54,900MT) and China (23,000MT).

Net sales of 58,300 MT for 2022/23 reported for unk. dest. (36,800MT) and Costa Rica (32,600MT), were offset by reduc. for Mexico (11,200MT).

Exports of 1,821,100 MT were up 34% from the previous week and 15% from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to China (793,000MT), Japan (352,200MT), Mexico (308,500MT), Canada (75,500MT) and South Korea (63,300MT).

As for soybeans, net sales of 276,800 MT for 2021/22 were down 63% from the previous week and 48% from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Egypt (132,600MT), Japan (123,600MT, including 20,100MT switched from unk. dest. and decr. 600MT), the Netherlands (66,000MT, including 60,000MT switc. from unk. dest.), Indonesia (58,000MT, incl. 55,000MT switched from unk. dest. and decreases of 500MT) and Mexico (54,700MT, including decreases of 3,100MT), were offset by reduc. primarily for China (108,400 MT), Taiwan (54,800MT) and unk. dest. (6,900MT).

Net sales of 443,000 MT for 2022/23 were reported for unk. dest. (284,000MT), Mexico (95,000MT) and Taiwan (64,000MT).

Exports of 539,500 MT were down 44% from the previous week and 20% from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to China (169,700MT), Mexico (90,300MT), Egypt (67,600MT), Indonesia (66,400MT) and the Netherlands (66,000MT).
